Obituary for Barbara Belcastro

Barbara Margaret Belcastro (nèe Burke) passed away peacefully at the age of 88 on March 09,
2024. She was the widow of John Belcastro with whom she shared 19 years of marriage.
Born in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of Thomas Burke and Evelyn Burke (nèe Anderson).
She attended Fort Hamilton High School and worked briefly as a bookkeeper prior to her role as
housewife and mother.
She enjoyed taking care of her pets, shopping, and dancing with her friends. She will be
remembered for her love of animals, kind heart, and strong will.
She is survived by her son, Robert Cuoco, daughter-in-law, Rose Cuoco, daughter, Lisa
Belcastro, Lisa’s partner, Bernie Nicoletti, granddaughter, Danielle Shea (nèe Cuoco), Danielle’s
husband, Glenn Shea, grandson, Jonathan Laureano, granddaughter, Ashley Cuoco, and great
granddaughter, Evelynn Shea.
The viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 13 at 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.at Scarpaci Funeral
Home, 6389 Amboy Road, Staten Island, NY 10309. Mass will be held on Thursday, March 14
at 10 a.m. at St. Rita’s Church, 281 Bradley Ave., Staten Island, NY 10314.
