Joseph Sala, 53 of Eltingville, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2020 at Staten Island University Hospital South.

 

Joseph was born Wednesday, June 28, 1967 in Brooklyn, New York. He was the son of Vittorio and Graziella Sala, beloved husband of Laura Sala (nee Pollutri) for 23 years and the proud father of Joseph and Nicholas Sala. He was the brother of Frank Sala and Victor Sala.  

Joe owned and operated his own auto dealership, LakeSide Motors for 21 years in Hazlet, NJ and worked for New York City Acoustics in the recent years.

 

In his spare time, Joseph first and foremost enjoyed spending time with his sons and his entire family who meant the world to him and they will miss him dearly.  He especially loved Sunday dinners at his parent’s home, as well as spending time with dear friends, dining out, going to car shows and traveling. He was a sports enthusiast, loved watching Formula 1 races, the NY Mets, the NY Giants and the NY Rangers.


Joseph is also survived by his brother-in-law, sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at St. Clare Church located at 110 Nelson Ave, Staten Island, New York 10308. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 10, 2020, at Scarpaci Funerals Home, Inc., located at 6389 Amboy Road, Staten Island, New York.
