Obituary for Anthony Carmine Paulino

Anthony C. Paulino 72
Adored husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.
Anthony C. Paulino 72, a former resident Brooklyn and Staten Island, died peacefully at home in Manchester, New Jersey surrounded by his family on May 14, 2020 after his lifelong, courageous battle with heart and lung issues due to Hodgkin's lymphoma he battled at age 18.
Anthony was born and raised in Brooklyn to Lena (nee DeSimone) and Daniel Paulino. It was there in South Brooklyn where at age 13 he met his childhood sweetheart Barbara (nee Marano). They married in 1969 and had three children before moving to Staten Island in 1980. Anthony worked for Merrill Lynch for over 30 years. He started in the mailroom and advanced his career, retiring as a Vice President of Government Clearing Operations in 1999.
He enjoyed hunting, playing cards and Atlantic City. When in Pennsylvania relaxing with family on weekends and summers, he loved country music before it was “cool”. If Anthony and Barbara weren’t at their weekend home in Pennsylvania with their children, they could be found on a beach soaking up the sun. Their favorite spot, Cape May, NJ.
Always the life of the party, joking and making everyone in his presence laugh, Anthony loved to be surrounded by his family, extended family and his many friends. Most important were his grandchildren, he loved their time together and was so proud of each one of them, always celebrating their accomplishments and being there with them. He made sure their checkers and 500 rummy games were on point.
He was a gentle, good man that was loved by all. He is survived by his loving wife for 51 years Barbara; two daughters and sons-in-law, Danielle and Robert Grant and Nicole and Joseph Loffredo; his son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Jenifer Paulino Jr; His 10 grandchildren, Victoria, Robert, Elizabeth, Gabriela, Alessandra, Anthony, Nicholas, Isabella, Michael and Eliana; brother, John; sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Richard Kosek; sister Genevieve Garrone (Joseph); sister-in-law Phyllis DeSimone (Anthony), nieces, nephews, and many, many first and second cousins.
Due to present conditions, a Memorial mass and luncheon will also be held at a later date.
