Obituary for Calogero Castrogiovanni

Calogero Castrogiovanni, 58, of Brooklyn, New York, passed away on April 18, 2020 in Brooklyn, New York. Calogero was born in Torretta, Italy to Maria Concetta and Francesco Castrogiovanni on April 22, 1961, He came to America in 1989. He married Enza Castrogiovanni on July 15, 1995 in Brooklyn, New York. Together they created a beautiful life and family, something everyone admired. He was a tile mechanic at Local #7 Tile Marble, & Terrazzo NY-NJ for 23 years. He was a hard and talented worker that took pride in all that he did. Calogero was also a devoted member of Societa di San Calogero di Torretta, where he was instrumental in ensuring that his family continued his culture and traditions from his native town in Sicily. He was a religious and faithful man. Anyone that crossed Calogero’s path will undeniably remember his smile, laugh and sense of humor. Calogero is preceded in death by his mother, Maria Concetta Castrogiovanni. He is survived by his wife, Enza, his daughters, Maria Rita, Alessia, and Erica, his father, Francesco, his siblings, Rosario, Tommaso, Giuseppe and Pietra, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Antonino and Maria, his brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Joe, Michelle, Lina, Maria, Rosalia and Gaetano, his nieces and nephews and cousins.
